Offer Description A 12 months ( renewable up to 24 months ) post-doctoral position is available in the medicinal chemistry group of the CEPR, ideally starting in January 2025. Our laboratory is specialized in respiratory tract infectious, immune, and inflammatory disorders for which it develops both fundamental and translational research programs.
The AEROCURE project, funded by the region Centra-Val de Loire, associates chemists, biologists, inhaled therapy & formulation specialists from both academia & industry, in a multi-disciplinary and dynamic environment, joining hands to develop new therapeutic approaches for the control of acute lung inflammation.
The successful candidate is expected to work in autonomy on the design, synthesis, characterisation, and biological evaluation of a series of heterocyclic small molecules to optimize them, in line with the target product profile.
Responsibilities MISSIONS :
Synthesis of bioactive compounds
Enzymatic evaluation of prepared compounds
Analysis of SAR/ADME results
Writing of experimental protocols and publications
Participation in lab common tasks
Communicate in internal and external meetings
Supervise students in the lab

Education Level: PhD or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications:
Ph.D in organic chemistry / medicinal chemistry.
An experience in enzymology would be a strong +
Fluent in written/spoken English
Specific Requirements:
Multi-step synthesis
Analytical chemistry (1H and 13C NMR - 1D/2D, HPLC)
IT for chemistry (Word/Excel/PowerPoint, Chemdraw/Biovia, Pymol, MOE, SciFinder…)
A previous post-doc would be a plus
Languages: ENGLISH Level Good
