Offer Description The post-doc will be responsible for developing software capable of calculating the thermodynamic and transport properties of ortho-hydrogen, para-hydrogen, and o-H2/p-H2.
Establish the state of the art on the thermodynamic and transport properties of the pure compounds oH2, p-H2, and o-H2/p-H2 mixtures.
Evaluate the interest in generating new data to fill any gaps by using molecular simulation with account taken of quantum effects or by implementing a quantum law of the corresponding states.
Assess the need to modify or not the current models and/or mixing rules (equations of state, methods for calculating thermal conductivity and dynamic viscosity) in order to minimise the discrepancies between calculated and experimental values.
Build, in the Simulis Thermodynamics environment (version after or equal to 2.0.44), a thermodynamic profile for the binary o-H2/p-H2 mixture based on the available experimental data.
Write research reports and scientific articles, and contribute to presentations at international conferences.
Participate in project management (planning, meeting deadlines).
The LRGP is a laboratory specialised in process engineering. It is attached to the CNRS and is housed at the University of Lorraine. The research team in which the post-doc will be employed is made up of teacher-researchers and technicians specialising in process thermodynamics.
Minimum Requirements PhD in fluid thermodynamics.
Expertise in equations of state applied to mixtures.
Ability to work in a team.
