Offer Description In recent years, fluorinated alcohol solvents such as hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) have become enabling technologies in all areas of organic synthesis. Owing to their remarkable intrinsic properties, they are attractive solvents in synthetic methodology. However, a deeper understanding of the factors controlling the transformations remains unclear. In this context, we will use electrochemistry as a tool to understand the impact of HFIP toward the stabilization of radical and cationic species and related products. We will explore and optimize electroanalytical conditions for electrosynthesis. The project is part of the ANR ELECTROHIP project, which gathers three research groups: LIMA Université de.
