For our client, an American international company operating in the furniture sector, we are looking for the EUROPE OPERATIONS MANAGER to oversee 3 manufacturing plants based in Portugal, Poland, and France.
Mission:
The candidate will coordinate Production, Quality, Logistics, Maintenance and supervise other functions (Purchasing, Finance…) of each plant, reporting to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing day-to-day business operations and processes: Lead, direct, and control the day-to-day activities of the plants to achieve the production plan leading to achieve financial and operating objectives with high quality and safety standards.
Oversee the manufacturing process in all plants and coordinates the manufacturing plants' short-term and long-term planning, KPIs, and operating procedures.
Ensures proper inventory management and allocation of resources, as well as the continuous improvement of the production processes and the flow of incoming material to feed the production processes, together with the respective plant production managers. Ensures compliance with the required lead times, orders, and deliveries.
Implementing strategies to improve efficiency and productivity of operations: Manage production efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of products by monitoring and evaluating operational effectiveness.
Promote and drive continuous improvement, ensuring leading indicators align with procedures and targets defined by local and global manufacturing practices.
Sets the targets and monitors the performance of the business against targets defined in manufacturing efficiency, cost control.
Managing and optimizing company resources, including human capital and technology.
Collaborating with other executives to align operational goals with overall business strategy.
Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and driving continuous improvement.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
BS Degree in Engineering (preferred).
20 years of experience with at least 5-7 years experience in a supervising/managing role.
Previous experience managing production/operations, multi-site preferred.
Production management and knowledge of production processes, continuous improvement, quality controls and management, industrial logistics flows, machine installation, process engineering, and improvement.
Fluent in English (Portuguese, German, and French preferred).
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Strong teamwork and conflict management skills.

Flexibility and adaptability.
Ability to travel 50% of the time, domestically and internationally.
Job location:
The candidate could live in either Lisbon, Warsaw, or Paris.
