Valverde Santar Hotel & SPA is a luxury 5 stars hotel with a charming aristocratic manor house, built in the 17th century and set in an area with four hectares of vineyards and three hectares of garden, located in Nelas between the Estrela and Caramulo mountains, where the Mondego and Dão rivers meander.
Responsibilities Develop and execute strategies to drive business in new and existing markets;
Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest;
Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally;
Coordinate with the Team to build synergy between Sales and Operational departments;
Determine and give complimentaries to guests with the General Manager's agreement;
Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone or email;
Responsible for ongoing analysis & tracking of progress against milestones, identifying & prioritizing bottlenecks or opportunities for accelerating progress;
Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Sales, Data Administration, Accounting) as necessary to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems, including up-selling;
Answer, record, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns;
Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing (e.g., filing, sending emails, typing);
Carry out technical visits for groups, events, and weddings;
Plan, manage and organize events in accordance with clients' requests;
Manage contracts with suppliers;
Organize and manage the work team necessary to carry out the event;
Reserve the necessary location and equipment, including the decorations chosen for the event;
Monitor the entire event;
Obtain feedback from participants post-event.
Work Experience At least 2 years of related work experience.
Technical Skills Ability to set clear goals, provide guidance, and track team performance.
Ability to analyze sales data, track performance metrics, and generate reports to measure the effectiveness of sales strategies.
Strong negotiation skills.
Basic Computer Knowledge.
Behavioral Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Fluent in English. Spanish, French, or another European language is a must.
