THE ROLEAs the Regional Operations Manager you will be part of a regional team that focus on overseeing the daily operations of Indie Campers stations within a geographical area in order to drive customer satisfaction over the service provided, operational results on fleet availability and condition of the fleet, and operational efficiency, through ensuring high-standards for our operations (optimising operational variable costs) and effective implementation of central procedural guidelines defined for our operating model.Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director, this role is critical to establishing a high-performing operating model through the direct management of local operations teams and coordination with the regional team.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
Oversee day-to-day local operations execution and actively manage the teams to achieve the results defined for each location regarding fleet availability, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, by providing clear, data-based feedback to continuously improve performanceOversee the performance of the local operations and guarantee that the operating standards are being followed and operational objectives are being met.
Includes auditing & quality control, and frequent depot visits (on average 50% of the time travelling between local stations)Recruit, select, train, manage, motivate, develop and retain local teams in your area from a regional office.
Ownership on local teams Performance Management (through regional KPIs), performance improvement plans, termination & renewal decisionsActively participate in customer satisfaction related processes, owning service recovery procedures into identifying root-causes and corrective measures for short-term actions and and structural process changesWorkforce management, which includes scheduling, time tracking & overtime reports.
Guarantee adherence to local labour law guidelines and health and safety specific topicsCollaborate with regional teams (asset management, revenue, finance, hr) to remove operational blockers.
Lead, coordinate and deliver any projects related to operational expansion within your area.
Guarantee local implementation of new procedures, tools and initiatives.
Responsible for the P&L management of the locations within the area and its variable operational costs.
To achieve the targets, you must identify cost optimization initiatives and their effective deployment.
Responsible for establishing relationships with current and additional local suppliers within the region; ensure resources are always adjusted to activity levels, constantly forecasting the demand needs and optimising local cost structures.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Background in Engineering, Business Management or similar education;At least 6 years of relevant experienceExperience in strategic operations consulting or finance-related positions is a plus; More than 3 years of proven experience in managing operational teams with P&L Ownership and direct control over operational financial performance on sustainable business models - rent-a-car and hospitality industries are a plus;Proven track record in establishing operational standards and developing structured operations.Proven track record in leading, managing and developing high-performing local teams, located in multiple sitesInternational experience - managed teams in more than one country is a plus;Capacity to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation;Thrives under pressure and is able to coordinate the efforts of large and scattered teams;Organised, analytical and results-oriented;Fluent in English, and in the language of the main country of operations, if applicable
