.We are looking for a Director of Human Resources to join our pre-opening team at Andaz Lisbon. Expected to open in Q2 2025, Andaz Lisbon will offer guests an exciting new luxury lifestyle hotel in the Portuguese capital – and it will represent a key milestone in Hyatt's continued brand growth in Southern Europe. Andaz Lisbon is set to become the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Lisbon. Located in the center of Lisbon's bustling Baixa district and situated along the main pedestrian road, Rua Augusta, the hotel will be comprised of five separate buildings, including the former offices of one of the major banks in Portugal, Banco Português de Investimento (BPI). This central building of the hotel will offer 170 guestrooms, with the surrounding four satellite buildings of the hotel offering guests various private suites to choose from. This unique Urban Resort in the city center will allow guests to fully embrace the locale and experience authentic Lisbon.About The Role You will be responsible for the efficient running of the Human Resources division in line with Hyatt's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Human Resources Division and the implementation of Hyatt's people brand standards throughout the hotel.Your Main Focus During Pre-opening Will Be Setting up the Human Resources Function Talent Acquisition/Recruitment Colleague Engagement and building a team Post Opening You Will Oversee and manage day to day operations of the HR team in a generalist leadership role which includes Relations, Performance, Payroll, Internal Communication, Recruitment and Training Colleague Engagement for an employee population of approximately 150 colleagues, through promoting and living our values and team building Coaching, counselling, advising Colleagues and Managers at all levels. Supporting in delivery of Hyatt's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy across the hotel Collaboration with the leadership team as a business partner, including Business plan prep and regular budget reviews About You You will have in-depth HR generalist practical operational knowledge of applying HR practices, policies and employment law in a fast-paced environment, ideally within a luxury market within the UK. Hyatt experience would be an advantage. You have an eye for detail and excellent organisation skills; you will be a strong team player with a positive, collaborative and hands-on approach. You are a Culture builder, putting people first at the forefront of all decision making and actions. Your communication skills will be excellent and you will be able to manage stakeholders at varying levels. Your confidence and assurance will enable you to be an effective negotiator and able to affect change and behaviours within HR and influence at all levels across the company
