As a member of Siemens Energy Customs team in Portugal, you will actively contribute to fulfilling the customs compliance responsibilities related to exports. Therefore, you are part of a team within our European network where you can bring in our gained expertise and communication skills on a daily basis.
How you and your Team will make an ImpactParticipates in the development of plans and solutions to ensure customs compliance and to optimize the customs export processes of Siemens Energy Global GmbH & CO.KG.
Ensures Siemens Energy wide user support for the customs export procedure within the Export Office.
Processes service requests for export issues and resolves misallocations in collaboration with other Customs functions.
Independently conducts clarifications with export and exit customs offices.
Performs and creates export declarations including all additional documents for export (e.g. CoO, Carnet ATA, A.TR, EUR 1...).
Coordinates and supports the business in all questions regarding export procedures.
Monitors open exports and requests alternative conformities of export.
Creates corrections of an export declaration.
Supports all involved business units (e.g. project management and project and shipping logistics) in the systems and equipment business regarding customs processing of international projects.
Participates in internal customs projects involving other departments (e.g. SCM, PM, etc.) to optimize and standardize customs export processes.
Reports regularly to the next higher SE TC C level and responsible managers.
What You BringBackground and practice in the field of customs/freight forwarding or complete university degree (e.g. business administration, law, international trade).At least 2 years of experience in customs processes (export, import, Intrastat, customs tariff and preferential/non-preferential origin determination).International experience (work in international teams, work abroad) is a definite plus.Experience in customs/ERP IT systems such as SAP, MIC.Fluency in English; German skills would be a plus.Responsibility, organization, communication, and assertiveness skills are valued attributes.In this role, you will follow the internal rules and regulations as established by your organization and the relevant legal entity you work for.
While performing your tasks, you always have an open mind to identify and report room for improvement and process flaws.
You actively participate in team growth efforts.
Your direct reporting line will be located in Portugal, too.
