The Constellation Technology Team provides a group-wide set of Technology Products and Services across the Constellation Automotive Group. We are a central function working across the following domains: Technology Operations, Cyber Security, Product, Engineering, Enterprise Applications, Logistics, Architecture and Portfolio; across the UK and Europe.
Our roles support both a cross section of divisions or could be dedicated to a single division. This provides a unique opportunity to experience a diversity of teams, technology, and businesses across C2B, B2B and B2C. This also provides the possibility to change roles within the Group, and experience new challenges and opportunities. This role is working within our brand-new Coimbra Portugal Tech Hub.
Reporting to the Head of Product for Planning & Delivery, you will lead our team's success in delivery through continuously identifying and removing impediments impacting progress. Through this you will be accountable for ensuring teams remain on track and ensure they deliver value as soon as possible. Partnering with Product Owners and Engineering Managers, you will collaborate to translate the vision into a reality.
Whether this be early on by providing visibility on estimation to assist with prioritisation, through effectively communicating delivery targets and progress or by managing cross department dependencies - the Technology Delivery Manager is fundamental to optimising delivery at every stage. Where meetings and ceremonies are needed, you will lead them to make sure they are both efficient and necessary to delivering initiatives on time. You clearly understand capacity management and can focus on measuring and maintaining a sustainable velocity whilst being adept at utilising forecasting techniques to help teams and stakeholders accurately track progress.
You champion a delivery approach that emphasises breaking down initiatives into smaller, manageable components, enabling teams to deliver maximum value to our customers as often as possible; fostering a culture of rapid feedback and adaptation. You will have experience of working in complex, Agile environments and this will enable you to excel in the delivery of larger scale B2C & B2B digital change initiatives across Constellation Automotive Group.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Value Sooner: Own timelines and coordinate business initiatives, ensure teams involved are aware of their roles and responsibilities and held accountable for delivery milestones and deadlines, stepping in to unblock issues when they arise.
Deliver Value Visibly: Provide regular showcase updates to stakeholders on the status of initiatives, including benefits (the 'so what'), progress, issues/risks, and proposed actions to remedy.
Support the Product Development Lifecycle: Engage with product owners on the development of product roadmaps, ensure requirements are present, lead the delivery process (including Agile ceremonies), proactively remove impediments, validate rigorous testing is in place, and drive for value being realised as early and often as possible.
Partner with Cross-Functional teams: Work closely with partnering teams such as Engineering, Design & Product Service Delivery along with the wider business to ensure everyone is aligned to the product vision, roadmap, and delivery plan.
Proactively Manage Risks and Issues: Identify potential risks and issues that could impact on successful delivery, create contingency plans to mitigate accordingly and ensure regular reporting of these is maintained to create awareness.
Develop and Manage Budgets: Continually maximise value delivered to the business by driving efficiencies in the way we allocate resources, forecast costs, track and report on expenses, along with identifying opportunities to make savings without compromising on the quality of outcomes.
Strive for Quality: Ensure mechanisms are in place to enable our teams to delivery with quality, meeting both customer requirements and user expectations.
Analyse and Report on Performance Metrics: Own and drive Initiative Metrics such as status, and resource utilization to enable data-driven decisions and greater understanding. Enable better prioritisation and ROI calculation through estimation.
Continuously Improvement and Processes: Proactively increase our Agile maturity and processes that grow Test Automation, CI/CD, and Tech Debt removal in our teams to evolve how we deliver high quality products at speed. Work with other PDMs to improve ways of working across product teams.
Skills and Experience:
Delivery Management: Skilled in managing and coordinating large complex initiatives, able to take high level ownership, strong communicator who is organised and able to drive deliveries to meet deadlines.
Communication: Effective communicator, able to speak to technical and non-technical team members, as well as the ability to engage through storytelling and showcasing progress to wider stakeholders.
Enabler of Success: A good leader skilled at driving those around them to achieve desired outcomes, able to empower through setting the right expectations, coaching for growth, and creating an environment that enables the team to succeed.
Maintain Delivery Momentum: A keen eye for detail, that can track, manage, escalate, and address dependencies to ensure the teams delivery cadence is maintained without disruption.
Budget Management: Solid understanding of budgeting principles, able to manage resources effectively to deliver initiatives on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Technical understanding: A good level of technical knowledge to help you understand the products and solutions being built for our customers.
Championing Agile & Lean Practices: A good understanding of different Agile methodologies and Lean Practices (such as Scrum & Kanban) with the ability apply and optimise them effectively in the team's workflow.
Agile Tooling: Understanding of how team use might improve the way the work with Agile tools such as Jira & Azure DevOps.
