This A/P position has an exciting role with a large scope; integrating various processes such as invoice processing, active communication with suppliers, using multiple systems and supplier account reconciliations.
Responsibilities WHAT YOU'LL DO This position is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of Accounts Payable invoices and their payments through execution of the following activities:
Receive invoices and supporting paperwork, review for accuracy and completeness. Create and update vendors. Maintain professional contact with outside carriers to resolve any discrepancies in paperwork and answer any questions that may arise. Create a payables batch to approve all broker invoices that need to be paid for the week. File information as required and as requested in support of other department members. Provide assistance to vendors as required. Assist other AP members with processing Fast Pay invoices. Review supplier statements and provide remittance details. Comply with department KPI's. Ensure internal and external controls are met. Qualifications WHAT YOU'LL NEED University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or related field. Minimum 1 year of previous experience working in Finance or Accounting area. Accuracy and attention to detail including data verification in system. Ability to work in fast-paced environment and meet deadlines (due dates). Detailed oriented with high level of concentration and process compliance. Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Fast learner and self-motivated team player. Ability to meet strict deadlines with a sense of urgency and prioritization. Experience in General Ledger coding of expenses is a plus. EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE Experience in General Ledger coding of expenses is a plus.
