Running The Business
Customer outcome
Lead the customer and operational experience to the terminal assigned.
Connect our customers as per contractual delivery promise (DP1/3 and 10) and conjunction with Ocean / Feeder fulfilment teams / Area CX & Delivery / GSP and Terminals.
Safeguard a successful delivery on Value Added Service (VAS) with terminal operators, and evolve the product offers based on operational capability together with Product team.
Operational excellence
Overall accountable for the port complex performance (terminal / towage / pilots / agents / etc.) and building relationship with key stakeholders in driving value and optimizing cost to serve.
Ensure asset turnaround and connections as per specs. Investigate root causes for deviations to plan and adopt measures to avoid recurrence.
Lead yard and gate strategy with Area and Fulfilment teams to ensure terminal fluidity and cargo velocity through the port complex is maintained.
Lead execution planning (2-4 weeks) and design planning (3 months) with all teams to ensure customer outcomes & asset capabilities are secured.
In event of crisis (port disruption / strike and or vessel / cargo incident alongside), participates in relevant CMT and leads the coordination locally with various stakeholders (agents / authorities / etc.)
Overall accountable to make Gemini a success.
Built and run an efficient office covering SWE/CSE.
Financial value
Drive assets utilization in RONA terminals and cost saving initiatives in non-Rona terminals with Ocean / Feeder / Service fulfilment.
Always look at the optimization opportunity to overall drive operational cost down.
Value engagement
Drive strategic collaboration and efficiency improvement for entire port system with local authority.
Drive and support ESG and decarbonation agenda.
Support the area business plan and any growth opportunity by engaging commercial and terminals.
Leadership
Lead and develop the Sr Terminal Solution Leads + the Terminal Solution Leads team.
Strive for continuous improvement on standardization and automation.
Drive integration of data for all operational aspects and able to use them in daily execution + present in discussions.
Improving The Business
Understand customer pain points / experience (delivery touchpoint) through the port complex and works with stakeholders (internal / external) in driving improvements.
Support the Area Business Plan in finding growth opportunities in collaboration with the terminal.
