Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. The Lubrication & MBA submodule holds responsibility and accountability for designing solutions encompassing the powertrain lubrication system, main bearings, and associated structural components.
Responsibilities
Your primary focus will be on designing and optimizing the components developed by our team, with tasks that vary in complexity. Here's an overview of what your typical workflow might involve:
Develop functional area roadmaps for continuous improvements, drawing on proven experience. Collaborate closely with relevant stakeholders to clarify design requirements.
Define and design interfaces to seamlessly integrate with other systems. Create comprehensive design specifications and requirements.
Ensure the performance and reliability of designs, including estimating their lifetime based on data.
Assess and manage risks and safety associated with the design.
Collaborate with experts from various engineering disciplines.
Coordinate technical functional reviews and drive the digitalization path.
Monitor component performance in production and service.
Qualifications
Masters or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Experience in designing and developing dynamic mechanical systems.
Proficiency in conducting Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using tools like Ansys.
Ability to code proficiently with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB.
A solid understanding of the static and dynamic behavior of mechanical casting structures.
Familiarity with Systems Engineering principles and experience in manufacturing welded or bolted solutions.
Proficiency in modular product development and digital engineering.

Additional information
