Randstad is recruiting a Software Lead for direct integration in a company, with offices located in the north of Aveiro.
Hybrid work (2-3 days on-site and 2-3 days remote/week).
Important requirements for the position are: more than 5 years of professional experience in Java and more than 1 year of experience in managing a team. They are looking for someone with strong technical expertise and leadership skills.
This professional will manage a team of 3 Software Developers.
Job Description Responsible for team building and leading the cloud software engineering (development and operation) team.
Responsible for designing, extending, and implementing software components and systems using modern technologies, considering customer requirements and framework.
Support the team (3 software developers) in designing and implementing requirements. Agile development team.
Part of the leadership team, having close collaboration and communication with the international leadership of the project.
Provide technical advice within the department and across departments.
Represent the team's technical perspective in decision-making processes.
Support the team in solving conflicts and removing impediments.
Leadership to the members of on-site development teams for software development activities.
Meetings (team meetings, refinement meetings, planning meetings or reviews). Be solution-oriented.
Improve technical aspects of user stories in collaboration with stakeholders.
Help the development of product road maps to communicate future development.
Requirements More than 5 years of experience in software development in agile teams focusing on Java, Spring, SQL/No-SQL, and build systems (Maven, Gradle) and with complex cloud infrastructures.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a team leader for a software team (mandatory requirement).
Knowledge of IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform, ARM, Bicep or similar) - important.
Knowledge in the using, deploying and monitoring of services in public clouds (experience with Azure is preferable since it's the cloud they work with, but are open to considering candidates with experience in AWS or GCP).
Knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash, Typescript or similar) - important.
Knowledge of agile methodologies.
Good analytical, problem-solving skills, organization and leadership skills.
Good English communication skills (intermediate level B2 is a mandatory requirement).
