As a software engineer in the Payments domain, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining software solutions that facilitate secure, efficient and seamless payment processing.
This role is ideal for individuals with a solid foundation in software development and a keen interest in building highly complex, distributed systems.
What you will be doingBuilding solid foundations for our payments ecosystemHelping us develop innovative, scalable and quality software in Java / PHPWorking in a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, designers and data analysts to build features at a large scaleDesigning, developing, and maintaining APIs, services and systems across Mollie's engineering teamsEvaluating & solving complex problems across the stackPutting your skills to the test and allowing yourself to grow and learn rapidlyWhat you'll bring2-5 years of experience in Java or PHP or other object-oriented languages (like C#, Go, Python) are welcomeUnderstanding of software development methodologies and best practicesBackground in designing and building scalable systems & strong understanding of software architecture & design patternsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentNice to havesPrevious knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud environmentsYou know about event streaming and distributed systemsYou have participated in service migrations between microservices and monoliths and understanding the practical tradeoffs of one architecture versus the otherYou have previously worked within the Payments or FinTech sectorKindly note that relocation support is not offered for candidates outside of Europe for this role.
