Datadog's Real User Monitoring (RUM) gives our customers end-to-end visibility into the real-time activity and experience of individual users, on the web and on mobile. This includes application performance, error management, analytics & user insights. RUM is massively growing: More customers, more features & more people! And this growth comes with challenges.

By joining our SDK team, you will be part of a multicultural team that is remote-friendly. You will collaborate with the product, backend, and frontend UI teams. You will play an active role in building the library installed by our customers in their games.

To maintain the trust we've built with our many customers, you must be comfortable building robust, well-architected, and isolated code that works in different environments and setups. We expect that you are comfortable with game engines, shipping to different platforms, and the specific performance challenges that exist. Your SDK code must be safe and robust in this complex environment.

What You'll Do:

Maintain and write new components of Datadog's Unity and Native SDKs

Support our growth into Unreal and other game engines, across all platforms (PC, XBox, Playstation, Switch and Mobile)

Work closely with the backend, frontend and product teams to deliver the best-in-class performance monitoring product for games

Contribute to the improvement of our engineering tooling and practices

Write code in the public eye, being the face of Datadog inside the community

Who You Are:

You have strong experience with the APIs and ecosystem of Unity or Unreal. You are comfortable debugging complex issues in a variety of setups

You have relevant experience in developing code for Unity, Unreal or an in-house engine

You have experience shipping to Consoles and PCs

You are proficient in C++ and cross-compilation for various platforms

You value code simplicity and performance

Nice to have: Experience developing commercially shipped SDKs
