The Architect role is service-oriented, and our success hinges on aiding others and teams in achieving their project goals. If you are passionate about complex problem solving and motivated by scale, then this is the role for you! Who will you work with? We are a small team reporting directly to the CTO. You will actively engage in discussions to present business rationale for engineering requirements to various stakeholders. What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on? You will be responsible for designated areas of the architecture in our LastPass product, and it's expected that you take ownership by thoroughly understanding these areas, establishing and maintaining the architecture vision and future goals. Documenting and building consensus around architectural principles and clarifying them as needed. Coordinating architecture developments both within and outside the application domain, conducting early reviews of deliverables, providing recommendations, and offering guidelines and best practices. Ensuring that the architectural direction and governance align with the business, product strategy, and industry best practices. Participating in solution work for new initiatives, outlining high-level solutions. Identifying refactoring activities necessary to address technical debt, performance, scalability, availability, reliability, and security concerns. Conceptualizing and experimenting with alternative architectural approaches. What does it take to work at LastPass? Previous experience with at least one major Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) technology (AWS, Azure, etc.). Experience with Microservices or Service Oriented Architecture. Previous exposure to both relational and non-relational database technologies (MySQL, MSSQL, Cassandra)
