Since 2020, we have worked on building and strengthening our Governance Capabilities within the Technology space, and we now look for a Sourcing & Technology Governance Specialist to support us in maturing our IT governance framework, to make it robust for the ongoing digital transformation, while still keeping focus on the sound governance of ICT- systems, processes and third-parties.
About this opportunityWelcome to Sourcing & Technology Governance team in NAM. We are part of Sourcing, Security & Technology Governance (SSTG) unit, and we add value by ensuring regulatory compliance and operational business support. We ensure clear and transparent accountability and responsibility for our ICT- systems, that the quality of IT processes and ICT services continuously meet the needs and requirements of the key stakeholders, i.e. Business, Customers and Regulators.
As Senior Sourcing & Technology Governance Specialist, you'll play a valuable role in supporting the NAM organisation to comply with regulatory requirements and legislation, through operational implementation and advisory related to the technology governance framework, sourcing and oversight framework, assessment and assurance activities related to policies, standards and controls for IT security, governance of technology and sourcing.
What you'll be doingGovernance Framework:Continuously develop and maintain the NAM's governance framework and operating model for technology and sourcing to ensure it is resilient and compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements.Work closely with Business and Technology stakeholders (e.g. Application Owners, Application Providers, Agreement Owners) to ensure NAM's ICT- applications, processes and third-parties adhere to relevant policy requirements, standards and controls.Assist and advise NAM stakeholders on matters of technology and sourcing governance, e.g. practical implementation of policies and controls, training and awareness.Coordinate and follow up with Business and Technology teams on timely and accurate execution of application management tasks, e.g. registration in central IT asset register, sound application lifecycle management from onboarding to decommissioning.Advise and assist Business and Technology teams in implementation and monitoring of adherence to ICT- and information security controls in their ICT- applications and processes.Advise and assist Business and Technology teams in managing the risks pertaining to control deficiencies in ICT- applications and processes.Advisory and Business Support:Act as ambassador and promote efficient, accurate and compliant ICT operations and sourcing in NAM.Act as coordinator, supervise or facilitate larger governance initiatives for technology- and sourcing across NAM (e.g. implementation of a new regulation, new process).Influence and advise Business and Technology teams on sound ICT- and third-party risk management practices, and oversee compliance with the NAM's ICT risk management framework.You'll join a motivated and engaged team of professionals, who take pride in the continuous development of the Asset Management organisation to be fit for technology and data- enabled future. You will collaborate closely with other functions in SSTG as well as other NAM functions.
The role is based in Helsinki; Lisbon; Oslo; Stockholm.

To do well in this role, we believe that you:Are innovative, interested in governance, technology, third-party- risk & vendor management.Possess solid communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to collaborate effectively across the value chain and with multiple organisational stakeholders and partners (e.g. Application Owners) in communicating, translating and operationalizing complex governance matters.Are pragmatic and compromise seeking and able to handle complex situations.Have personal attitude and motivation for achieving results combined with an ability to plan your own and others' work, including identify, define and solve governance matters to meet agreed deadlines.Have solid analytical skills and a structured and methodical approach to tasks.Have strong project management and coordinating skills.Able to work self-motivated and as an enthusiastic team member, and enjoy a changing and high pace work environment.Fluency in English (spoken and written).Your experience and background:Minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related field.Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience working with IT governance, application management, IT security, risk management, sourcing/vendor management and ensuring governance in these areas.Familiar with operational implementation of international information security standards, such as ISO 27001, COBIT or NIST.Familiar with international standards and best practice frameworks within IT governance, such as ISO 35800 or similar and operational implementation of these.Knowledge of IT-, security- and operational risk regulation and frameworks.Analytical competence to assess business and technical needs for project management.Good business understanding and knowledge of investment management, fund- or asset management business domain (or a similar field).Good understanding of the general regulatory and governance framework applicable to the financial sector.If this sounds like you, get in touch!
