No Offer Description 1 – Title SENIOR RESEARCHER In accordance with: annex II of Order 3186/2024 published in the Official Gazette no. 61 dated 26/03, deliberation of the Board of Directors of LNEC, I.P., of 2024-04-08, an external call of international selection is launched for recruitment, under a contractual tie of indefinite-term employment in public functions, of a Senior Researcher in the scientific field of Building Economics and Management, integrated in the permanent staff of LNEC. According to the requirements of article 34 of the Regime da valorização profissional dos trabalhadores com vínculo de emprego público (scheme for the professional development of civil servants), approved by Law no. 25/2017, 30 May, the Direção-Geral da Administração e do Emprego Público - DGAEP (directorate general for administration and public employment), the body responsible for the scheme of professional development, informed that no senior researchers were available with the intended profile. This notice has been prepared in compliance with article 24 (1) of Decree-Law no. 124/99, 20 April. 3 – Nature of the competition The competition consists of the assessment of the curriculum vitae, the scientific work of the candidate(s), as well as the report of activities developed by the candidates 4 – Functional content The senior researcher shall be responsible for carrying out, on a regular basis, apart from the research and development activities established in article 5 (2) of Decree-Law no. 124/99, other scientific and technical activities integrated in the competences of this National Laboratory, such as: Supervising higher education students' theses, namely graduation, post-graduation, Masters, and Doctoral theses; Disseminating and publishing non-confidential results of the scientific and technical activity carried out; Carrying out the functions for which he/she has been elected or appointed and participating in the sessions of LNEC's collegiate bodies. 5 – Researcher Profiles Senior Researcher (R3) 6 – Scientific field Building Economics and Management 7 – Type of Contract / Job Status Indefinite-duration employment contract in public functions
