Applicable Legislation and Regulations: The notice of competition and the hiring process are governed by the provisions of the Regulation for Research, Science and Technology Staff of the University of Porto, Regulation no. 487/2020, published in the Diário da República, 2nd series, no. 100, of 22 May, the Labor Code, approved by Law no. 7/2009, of 12 February, in its current wording, the Code of Administrative Procedure, approved by Decree-Law no. 4/2015, of 7 January and other applicable legislation and rules. 3. Admission requirement: This competition is open to national candidates, foreigners and stateless persons who hold a Master's degree in Biochemistry and holders of a scientific and professional curriculum that shows an appropriate profile for the activity to be developed. For the determination of the appropriate profile for the activity to be carried out, the following are special requirements: Animal experimentation experience – FELASA Certification. 4. Preferred selection requirements: Mass spectrometry knowledge – particularly in proteomics; Knowledge in vibrational spectroscopy; Knowledge in biostatistics; Programming in R and/orPython environment; Database management. 5. Remuneration: The basic monthly remuneration is 1.861,25 €, corresponding to the 1st position, level 3 in accordance with the table annexed to the Regulation for Research, Science and Technology Staff at the University of Porto, on a full-time basis. 6. Workplace: The workplace is located at the Cardiovascular R&D Centre of Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, under the scientific supervision of Doctor António de Sousa Barros. 7. Contractual regime: The Research Assistant will be hired on an individual uncertain-term employment contract, under the Regulation for Research, Science and Technology Staff at the University of Porto and the Labor Code, remaining in force only for the period necessary to carry out the tasks defined in the project identified in the following paragraph and never exceeding the end date of the project and/or the maximum limit of 6 (six) months. 8. Activities to be developed: The functions of research personnel cover the following areas: Research; Transfer and valorization of knowledge; Management and communication of science and technology and other tasks
