Position Overview The Senior Network Engineering Manager will lead a globally distributed team of network engineers responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of global telecommunications and network environments. Qualified candidates will have a diverse background of technical experience, demonstrated project management acumen and customer service skills. This role will report to the Director of Global IT Infrastructure. Location: Hybrid or Remote: USA, United Kingdom, Portugal Primary Responsibilities: Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to global network engineering team. Develop new team skills outside of comfort zone. Act to resolve issues which prevent the team from working effectively. Responsible for planning and coordinating activities pertaining to the day-to-day operation of network environment. Identify and drive cost savings opportunities to reduce cost of service and eliminate technical debt. Build and maintain relationships with other IT leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensures cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs and is able to respond with agility to changing business priorities. Participate in the assessment of external and internal technology capabilities with a focus on suitability for integration with the existing IT environment. Provide leadership, coaching and direction to the IT operations management team and staff. Participate in committees to drive the development of enterprise standards, governance processes and performance metrics to ensure network infrastructure delivers value to the enterprise. Competencies: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to communicate a vision that inspires and motivates the team and aligns to the IT and business strategy. Experience and working knowledge switching/routing in a large and complex network; SDWAN, MPLS, wireless, network management tools, traffic shaping / QoS, BGP and firewalls. Working knowledge of MS Teams Phone calling, Cisco Unified Call Manager, and SIP/PSTN connectivity. Working knowledge of Secure Access Service Edge, Zero Trust, and network authentication environments. Working knowledge of Cloud platforms and the technologies that make them work. (Azure, AWS, O365, Infrastructure as code). Working knowledge of IT Service Management concepts and how it is implemented across different operating models
