What you'll do
As part of the Digital and OSS Engineering Team, you have the opportunity to work with a multitude of trending technologies and partners, and you can experience how technology can make a difference in organization's results. You will be part of an E2E Solutions' Design Team, which is responsible to lead the definition of the digital and OSS Roadmap and agenda and perform the solution design of strategic and complex projects, with the support of a team of OSS Technology Experts. You can collaborate with a super smart team, diverse, motivated, and committed to bring value out of the technologies we deliver.
As Senior Digital and OSS E2E Solution Design Authority, you work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges.
You create and continuously develop the Overall Digital and OSS evolution roadmap that enables the business objectives, driving modernization, consolidation, and harmonization.
You anticipate and advise OSS management in creating the strategic domain roadmap as well as the mid-/long term Network Evolution Plan.
You elicit, document, and analyze the business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications for technical teams.
You collaborate with Technology teams to design solutions that meet business needs.
You propose innovative and practical solutions to address business challenges.
You ensure that proposed solutions align with Vodafone's strategic goals and technological capabilities.
You work to continuously improve our governance, supported by Enterprise Architecture Frameworks
Who you are
Degree in engineering, telecommunications, computer science or a similar qualification and at least 5 years of professional experience in IT architecture, solution architecture and/or software development;
Experience of working in an architecture / solution design role, developing architecture concepts around OSS/ BSS/ digital technology disciplines (i.e., Cloud, Data Analytics, Machine Learning/ AI, Automation, Micro Services, and Integration, Network Orchestration);
Strong business acumen and organizational abilities to balance strategies against what is functionally, technologically, and financially feasible;
You are familiar and experienced applying Enterprise Architecture frameworks like TOGAF;
You demonstrate/ apply analytical approach to outline the design options with their multiple angles - ex: technology, cost, time - based on the scope, the requirements, the assumptions, and the constraints;
Experience working at a strategic level with partners and vendors to develop solutions that drive innovation and new business opportunities;
Story telling ability, you can navigate between the big picture and the details' views and can explain technical topics/subjects to non-technical colleagues, outline clear reports and other formal documentation required for solution evaluation, design, and delivery;
Experience of developing and managing Technical Design Authority, implementing best practice around architecture, Lean and Safe /Agile Methodologies;
Knowledge of telecommunication technologies, processes, network architectures and industry standards;
Business fluent in English and Portuguese.
