We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and curious project engineer to strengthen our innovative engineering team, that is specialized in the control & protection area of substation automation projects.
As a project engineer, you will be responsible for the successful execution of the control & protection scope (i.e. hardware engineering, software engineering and/or testing) of our substation automation projects globally. Within those projects, you will be working closely together with the project manager, the SCADA engineer and the customer in successfully delivering those projects.
You will be part of a large world-class engineering community within our Hub Europe organization, surrounded by colleagues with many years of expertise and knowhow on executing large and complex substation automation projects globally. Your ResponsibilitiesCarrying out the testing & commissioning for the configuration of Protection and Control IEDs for transmission and distribution substations in line with customer specification (main software: PCM600).Develop together with the project core team the protection and control concepts for transmission and distribution systems in close collaboration with the customer.Continuous interactions with the engineering and project management team to carry out the site works effectively.Obtaining approvals from utilities for commissioning activities of protection systems main and back up relays including scheme testing.Living Hitachi Energy core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your BackgroundEducational Qualification: Engineering Diploma.Proven experience in a control & protection engineer role, at least 5 years of experience.Excellent communication skills, customer interface skills, multi-priority and multi-tasking.Analytical and strategic approach.Proven communication and presentation skills in Portuguese and English.Willingness to travel in Portugal.Apply now
