Senior Consultant

The ideal candidate has already strong knowledge in Regulatory Reporting for European and Portuguese regulators and some risk management background in the banking sector. As a Senior consultant you will take some responsibility for some aspects of our customer projects during the software implementation and interfacing cycle.
You will be responsible for the analysis of the customer's requirements, the translation into (functional) specifications, the functional configuration of the system, analysis of data requirements for our software components, as well as the evaluation and follow-up of the implementation tasks assigned to you. Tasks and responsibilities include: You will participate in implementation projects by providing (functional) expertise through specialized workshops related to functional specifications and data requirements needed to implement our regulatory reporting solution and related software components based on client's bank portfolio.Implement customer projects in Portugal and across EMEA; deliver functional knowledge and business domain expertise for the integration of Wolters Kluwer's OneSumX solutions into client's information system, in the area of Financial Risk, Finance and Regulatory reporting.Work in international project teams within Wolters Kluwer's professional Services organization.Handle functional designs; tests and modify new and existing specific Financial Risk, Finance and Regulatory Reporting solutions for customers.Analyze regulators and customers specific requirements to adapt and configure OneSumX solution to match these requirements, document requirements according to Wolters Kluwer's and clients' standards.Prepare and support/conduct client's trainings.Report to Project Manager on regular basis, communicate issues related to the projects he/she is participating.Support pre-sales activities and sales cases.You will assist the customer in defining and analyzing his requirements, translate the regulatory reporting requirements into functional specifications, data requirements, data gap analysis assessments to implement and test our solutions and assure a constant follow-up and evaluation of the situation.You will play a consultancy role towards our clients, advising on our standard OneSumX solutions.You will be the contact point of the customer for functional and data related (content) questions.Implementation of the product will be done by following standard Wolters Kluwer implementation methodology.Working in multinational teams and providing functional knowledge tailor-fitted to our OneSumX suite for the banking sector.You will manage and assist on a regular basis our Portugal clients and support them implement new functionalities within our OneSumX software solution.Qualifications and Skillset Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Economics/Financial Science/Banking/Mathematics/Physics or similar.
At least 5+ years experience in regulatory reporting, banking and financial instruments, preferably gained from working within a banking organization, consulting companies, or from providing similar solutions to financial services institutions.Proven experience in requirements capturing and documenting, perfect skills & abilities to prepare clear and well-structured documents.Specific experience in European regulatory reporting for banks (local, EBA FINREP, COREP & Liquidity, XBRL) and Portuguese regulatory reporting, banking and financial instruments including regulatory calculators and stress testing is a strong asset.Some experience in credit risk and/or market risk and/or liquidity risk management including regulatory calculators and stress testing is a strong asset.Experience as Business Analyst/System Analyst at systems' implementation projects is a strong asset.Experience in delivering consultancy, training, and presentations to external parties is a strong asset.Affinity with or interest in software (implementation) projects; database, SQL knowledge and Java knowledge.Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory.Willingness to work on customer premises if required.Ability and willingness to travel and work on international projects also abroad if necessary.Personal Skills: Hands-on mentality with "Business Analysis" skillsVery customer orientedExcellent communication (written and oral) skillsAssertive and result drivenA very good team playerA very fast learner and self-independentProven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environmentResponsible, methodical and organizedOur offer We offer you a full-time position in a team-based, international, leading financial organization.
