Syensqo is creating its internal Global Business Services (GBS) to cover Finance, Procurement and Human Resources activities. An accounting professional to join the Syensqo finance team to support preparation of the local and group accounting and tax operations and local/legal audits and requirements.
We count on you for:
Performing the monthly closure for certain companies.
Performing accounting operations according to CAM guidelines and in line with accounting standards for both local statutory and group reporting purposes.
Providing analysis, advice, and solving technical accounting issues.
Taking responsibility and ownership for a part or whole legal entity financial statements.
Respond to customer requests for accounting and tax support.
Analysing issues and proposing solutions for remediation.
Supporting and collaborating with the team in the Service Units regarding accounting issues.
Leading or participating in small projects or continuous improvement initiatives.
Work with peers in the Service Units to support improvements, changes and new processes.
Depending on the countries, you may need to:
Support the preparation of local statutory financial statements.
Oversee external consultants providing operational and tax activities.
Oversee and participate in various tax audits.
Education and Experience
University degree in accounting or finance, ideally with certification in international accounting.
Minimum of 5-year experience in tax and/or accounting operations.
IFRS knowledge and ERP experience (preferably SAP).
Strong knowledge of local compliance activities and tax and technical accounting skills for the entities you will work for.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform analyses of local, IFRS, accounting, and tax.
Strong local tax knowledge for certain Sr. Accounting Specialists which will support a tax for a specific country.
Skills and behavioural competencies
IFRS knowledge.
SAP knowledge.
Team spirit, proactivity.
Language skills
Fluency in English.
Other languages are a plus.
