The Excellence Centre in Lisbon will support HR, Finance and other functions. The company is currently implementing a new ERP tool (NetSuite) and reviewing the current processes to improve and automate our Finance operations.We are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our team to support the Record to Report process of our newly acquired companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the R2R process, ideally in an Excellence Centre or Shared Service Centre setup. We are looking for someone who has the experience to work hands-on, contribute to the setup of the new Centre, and is highly motivated to contribute to Continuous Process Improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesPlay a key role in setting up the Finance Excellence Centre.Handle accounting tasks according to established procedures and update documentation as needed.Work with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions and expense allocations.Maintain the general ledger, ensuring it is accurate and complies with company policies and accounting standards.Manage the month-end close process, including generating standardized reports and preparing annual accounts.Review and analyse general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies, unusual trends and propose corrective actions, as needed.Support the regional team with standardized reports for annual audits and tax audits.Prepare and review account reconciliations.Assist with special projects and process improvement projects as needed.Qualifications
