You will lead the general ledger function, coordinate with teams to manage monthly and annual close processes, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will exhibit strategic leadership, comprehensive knowledge of IFRS principles, and a strong ability to drive efficiency and process improvements across the team.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership and Oversight: Provide strategic direction and oversight for the general ledger function, ensuring financial reporting and compliance with IFRS and other standards.
Team Structure and Development: Mentor and coordinate team leaders, offering the necessary support and guidance.
Foster a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional development within the finance department.
Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring timely and compliant financial reporting.
Process and System Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements and system improvements to boost efficiency, accuracy, and control within the general ledger function.
Audit and Internal Controls: Act as the liaison for external and internal audit activities, facilitating the audit process, and preparing necessary documentation.
Oversee the development and enforcement of internal controls and policies related to financial reporting and record-keeping.
Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required: Leadership of a finance or accounting team Proven solid accounting experience An ability to remain positive and focussed when dealing with challenging senior stakeholders Deep understanding of IFRS principles, financial reporting, and compliance regulations.
Experience in SSC/GBS in a multinational environment and in a similar industry is a plus.
