Together we can influence the world around us to make life and work better.Ferring+You As trusted business partners SMO controllers contribute to the realisation of the Ferring & SMO (R&D and Medical) strategy by enabling, challenging and influencing management to make informed, value-oriented decisions.The Controller understand the growth drivers & impact of the relevant BU's on the overall strategy, supports and advises the global functional controller & management on the financial performance of the relevant local BU's & function(s).In essence, this means that the controller ensures integrity of actuals & forecasted financial data from multiple sites in multiple countries.
Management of the controlling activities and financial events for the relevant BU's with effective consolidated financial performance analyses of the business, respectively with action plans and improvement measures.Your day at FerringIn charge of the consolidation and reporting of the Local Markets Medical Business Units and of the Local Regulatory & QA Business Units for all Group SMO financial controlling requirements (45+ countries / 4 regions).Primary focus is to form a liaison between the markets/regions and Global SMO, supporting Local Medical, Local Regulatory and local QA - financial planning, controlling and consolidating.
Prepare, coordinate, and manage the consolidation and reporting of the Local Markets Medical Business Units and of the Local Regulatory & QA Business Units for the month-end / year-end close, yearly forecast, budget and business plan exercises.
Act as coordinator and influencer to translate the related SMO agendas, timings, and processes to local markets in alignment with commercial requirements.
Communicate requirements to relevant stakeholders.A member of Global SMO finance and controlling team.
First point of contact for Local Markets and Regional management on Medical, Regulatory and QA financial matters, taking guidance from and reporting back to the Global Functional Controllers of Medical, Regulatory and QA based in Denmark and Switzerland.
Advice on financial impact of strategies and priorities within the function.Consolidate data from sites & deliver functional regional reporting monthly.
Identify & implement synergies across countries/sites.
Provide insights on asset & resource utilisation.Propose efficiency improvement measures.Note that the local submissions and day-to-day financial management & cost centre controlling of each local market for medical, QA and RA remains with local market finance teams and FD's.
Review the local market FTE & Cost structure submissions and prepare FTE & Cost Structure analyses, consolidating it into regional views for global controllers and management.Ensure integrity of financial data and compliance by a strict implementation of IFRS, ICS and internal guidelines.
Manage processes and procedures to ensure that an efficient and controlled monthly and yearly closing process is in place in collaboration with the accounting team.
Challenge and improve ways of reporting current actuals analytical views.Provide support to other global SMO controlling functions related to the portfolio of development projects, Opex and Capex.Business partnering Provide business partnering support to the Regional Medical Leadership team member by effectively analyzing and communicating insights related to actuals and forecasts alongside the global functional controllers in Denmark and Switzerland and liaising with FD's at region and country level where necessary.
Provide controlling and reporting support to the global controllers in Denmark, Switzerland and USA supporting the SMO function.Develop, review and report month-end consolidated financial results.Lead the SMO Local Medical, Local Regulatory and Local QA financial events taking guidance from and reporting back to the Global Functional Controllers of Medical, Regulatory and QA based in Denmark and Switzerland.
(Actuals, FCQ3, Budget, Business Plan), including instructions, consolidation, reporting and financial updates.People & culture: Support functional finance successfully to support a transforming SMO organisationSupport on global finance & controlling initiatives and act as champion and advisor.
Systems & Reporting – Automation & Reduce bureaucracy.Behind our innovation…There's youDegree in Business Economics with 5 to 7 years' experience in Controlling within a multinational environment.
