Candidates must also have:expertise on Distributed ledger technologies (DLT), self-sovereign identity management, coin mixing, mobile TOR, PKI, network anonymity, and protocol design for mobile cellular networks;proficiency in the following programming languages: Matlab, Python;self-motivation for scientific research;ability for teamwork.Applicants must be enrolled in a PhD degree/programme in electrical and computer engineering, informatics and telecommunications engineering, or equivalent.Work Objectives:The objectives of this work will be:Provide an extensive SotA review on market products for anonymity services in joint DLT/B5G infrastructures;Perform SotA review on self-sovereign identity management architectures and network-level packet mixing strategies;Design and development of anonymous geographic-based routing protocols for mobility-proof network-level packet mixing in B5G network setups;Design and development of disruptive new mobility-proof TOR protocols for network-level packet mixing in B5G multi-hop mesh networks;Derive best practices for anonymous DLT-backed B5G data access.Place of work:The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at University of Aveiro, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jonathan Rodriguez Gonzalez.Duration:6 months, with the possibility of renewal. Start date: August 2024 or soon thereafter.Monthly salary:1500.00€.
