.Scientific Area: Wireless Technologies Admission Requirements: Candidates must have a MSc degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Informatics and Telecommunications engineering, or equivalent. Candidates must also have: expertise on Distributed ledger technologies (DLT), self-sovereign identity management, coin mixing, mobile TOR, PKI, network anonymity, and protocol design for mobile cellular networks; proficiency in the following programming languages: Matlab, Python; self-motivation for scientific research; ability for teamwork. Applicants must be enrolled in a PhD degree/programme in electrical and computer engineering, informatics and telecommunications engineering, or equivalent.Work Objectives: The objectives of this work will be: Provide an extensive SotA review on market products for anonymity services in joint DLT/B5G infrastructures; Perform SotA review on self-sovereign identity management architectures and network-level packet mixing strategies; Design and development of anonymous geographic-based routing protocols for mobility-proof network-level packet mixing in B5G network setups; Design and development of disruptive new mobility-proof TOR protocols for network-level packet mixing in B5G multi-hop mesh networks; Derive best practices for anonymous DLT-backed B5G data access. Place of work: The work will be developed at the premises of Instituto de Telecomunicações at University of Aveiro, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jonathan Rodriguez Gonzalez. Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of renewal. Start date: August 2024 or soon thereafter. Monthly salary: 1500.00€. The payment will be made by bank transfer.
