We are looking for a qualified Laboratory Research Assistant to join our team in the Development of Advanced Topical and Transdermal Drug Delivery Systems project of the Health From Portugal Agenda, under the PRR framework.Job DutiesAssist research activities related to the synthesis of nanoparticles, nanocarriers, and nanoformulations; Perform technical physico-chemical analysis and characterisation of developed products; Perform advanced functional magnetic characterisation of developed products; Cell culture and biological assays; Regular progress report writing and presentation; Attend consortium meetings.Mandatory QualificationsEducationMSc in Chemistry or Biochemistry or equivalent.Experience+2 years of experience as research assistant/technician; Experience in nanotechnology/nanomedicine research; Hands-on experience on synthesis and characterisation of nanomaterials (e.G., magnetic NPs, nanocomposites, silica NPs); Experience on the functionalisation of nanostructures (with proteins/enzymes); Experience with advancedphysicochemical characterisation technologies (i.E., TEM, SEM, ICP, TGA, HPLC, VSM, SQUID); Hands-on experience on MRI, relaxometry, and magnetic hyperthermia; Previous participation in collaborative national, international, and/or industrial research projects; Experience with molecular biology techniques (e.G., genetic material extraction, transfection, PCR).Preferred QualificationsHands-on experience with cell culture, 2D/3D in vitro models, and in vitro characterisation assays; Experience with drug delivery systems; Experience with the implementation of safety protocols and procedures in Chemistry/Biology oriented labs.Personal Skills"Hands-on" approach together with a high commitment in respecting working deadlines; Problem-solving ability;Customer orientation; Ability to work independently and as a team player
