We are looking for a qualified Research Engineer to join our team in the development of optical systems for integration of flat optics in compact camera systems under the project Sensitive Industry with the code no 72261. Job Duties The job duties will be the following: Cleanroom micro and nanofabrication of flat optics and diffractive optical elements; Definition, execution and optimisation of fabrication process flows, and key specifications for test layouts and mask design; Experimental characterisation of microfabricated optical devices for process optimisation and performance evaluation. Mandatory Qualifications Education MSc degree in Material Science, Electronics, Physics, Plasmas, Optics, Mechanics, or other relevant subject. Experience Experimental design and process optimisation; Cleanroom microfabrication processes; Optical systems and their characterisation. Technical Skills Knowledge in cleanroom processing techniques (e.G. lithography, nanoimprint, thin film deposition, dry and wet etching, metrology); Process optimisation; Optical system characterisation; Data analysisand scripting software (e.G., Matlab, Mathematica, Python). Preferred Qualifications Education PhD degree in Material Science, Electronics, Physics, Plasmas, Optics, Mechanics, or other relevant subject. Experience Hands-on experience in processing and characterisation of nanostructures and thin films for optical devices; Experience inanalysis and definition of process requirements and tolerancing; Hands-on experience in metrology for validation of optical systems.
