Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading Renewable Energy clients, which is an independent leader in high-value-added engineering and consulting services in the renewable energy sector (photovoltaic, solar thermal, wind, storage) and its electrical evacuation infrastructure (substations and lines).
Job Responsibilities
Oversee project legalisation processes, coordinating with public authorities, network operators, and stakeholders to secure necessary permits from initiation to ready-to-build (RTB) status. Ensure timely response to administrative requirements and adherence to deadlines.
Collaborate with technical and legal teams in Spain to prepare essential project documentation and secure permits for grid connection and facility authorisations.
Identify and manage land and site acquisition opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with land brokers and key intermediaries to facilitate site acquisitions. Support contract negotiations with landowners, including drafting purchase agreements and easement contracts.
Monitor the status of medium (MT) and high-voltage (AT) electrical networks, and ensure compliance with regulations governing the authorisation, construction, and operation of renewable energy plants.
Conduct initial assessments of site limitations and estimate related costs, including grid connection and optimal use of available land.
Oversee and track project progress, ensuring consistent documentation and reporting.
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Law, or a related field.
Experience in energy project development, ideally within the Renewable Energy sector.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently.
Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
Willingness to travel across the Iberian Peninsula.
Familiarity with Portugal's regulatory framework and experience managing administrative processes with local authorities.
