Reporting to the Regional CEO, the HSE Director will have strategic and operational responsibility at a regional level for the full range of safety, health and environmental matters, including leading the development and implementation of regional and global strategies and plans, demonstrating best practice, and identifying opportunities to enhance effectiveness of operations across the Region. The post-holder will make an effective contribution to the Regional Management team and will attend meetings as a key partner. Innovative ideas are the hallmark of our successes and move us on. Your Responsibilities: Establish the HSE structure and approach at a regional level; Direct and promote the company in building a proactive safety culture across all functions; Provide support and advice to Global HSE and Global Sustainability and Regional CEO; Advise regional management on safety and environmental objectives, targets and metrics and assess the HSE performance of the region; Management of the HSE teams within the region, continuously building the capabilities of the teams; Development and implementation of HSE projects, such as employee wellbeing, sustainability, management systems, working at all times in partnership with other stakeholders; Ensure the implementation of applicable HSE standards and systems from the headquarters to the region; Based on regulatory and/or legislative compliance, adapt or ensure adaption of the ENERCON minimum standards to the region/affected countries. Your Skills: Bachelor or master degree in compatible area; Relevant HSE qualification and understanding of key occupational safety topics with relevant experience (in the region/country in the region); Extensive knowledge of European legislation and international agreements; Leadership skills, particularly in leading a team of HSE professionals; Preferred experience inboth Construction and O&M activities within the Onshore Wind sector, Oil and Gas or other relevant heavy industry; Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams; Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).
