Role Summary: The Record to Report Solution Lead is a key leadership role responsible for managing end-to-end Record to Report processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance within a centralized service delivery model. This role involves managing a team, collaborating with various stakeholders, and optimizing RTR processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Location: Lisbon, PortugalWorking hours: Full-timeContract type: Direct employmentWhat can you expect as a Record to Report Solution Lead at Scandinavian Tobacco Group? Your primary tasks will be: Leadership and development: Build a strong, engaged and efficient RTR team and ensure effective people management and development of the teamMaintain collaborative work culture to enhance teamwork & productivity and regularly assess team performance & provide constructive feedback for improvementProvide ongoing training and development for the R2R team to ensure a high level of expertise and adherence to best practices.Represent RTR team in various meetings (e.g., audit & compliance, management & strategy meetings, cross-functional collaboration meetings)Operational Responsibilities: Lead the entire RTR process, including accounting, close, consolidation, treasury and tax operations within the Solution Delivery OrganizationStandardize and streamline the end-to-end RTR process, ensure alignment with global accounting standards and corporate policiesCoordinate and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes in adherence to global group deadlinesProvide guidance on technical accounting matters and support team members in achieving their goalsCollaborate with other Solution Delivery Organization functions to ensure seamless cross-functional integrationResponsible for escalation management, process improvements, and overall effectiveness of RTR processOversee the Treasury and Tax operations, ensure they are managed effectivelyConduct month-end meetings with RTR teams to ensure that all goals and tasks are progressing as plannedPerformance & Efficiency: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the RTR function, driving efficiency and accuracyPartner with Process Innovation Center to operationalize global process governance standards and identify and implement improvement opportunities for Record to Report processes to streamline operations and reduce turnaround timeIntroduce or enhance automation tools and integrate new technologies to expedite the Record to Report process, improving accuracy and efficiency in collaboration with Process Innovation CenterYour areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter the most for this role): Preferred Educational Requirements - MSc (Accounting & Finance)/ MBA Finance / CMA or ACCA or CPAExperience and skills: - Proven Record to Report functional experience of 8-10 years, with a focus on leadership rolesFamiliarity with shared service center operations and global service delivery modelsStrong background in finance and in-depth knowledge of financial reporting and month-end close processesProficiency in ERP systems (preferably, SAP S/4HANA), and financial reporting softwareStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsHow to Apply: If you are ready to be a part of our exciting journey at STG, please apply by including your resume and highlighting your experience, as well as any other relevant information you would like to share with us.
