We are thrilled to go to market for the search of our new Project Engineer.
This is an exciting position and will be part of a newly formed European Engineering Hub.
What you'll be doing as a Project EngineerDirects, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within areas of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties.
Your priorities will change daily as we are in a fast-paced environment with ever changing dynamics and complexities.
Plans and formulates engineering approach and organizes project team according to project requirements.
Works with Production Process Engineers to complete Engineering Service Requests.Assigns project team members to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing.Assists Project Managers with providing engineer estimates, work scopes, etc.
for civil engineering aspects on other projects.Reviews design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specifications.Responsible for maintaining corporate engineering standards.Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.Demonstrates behaviors that safety and compliance is a critical aspect of this role.Oversees and manages Engineering Project team(s), internal or external.Develops project scopes, estimates and appropriation documents.Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.Manages, controls cost, assigns scope of work to various engineering contractors and vendors.Works with PSM Engineer to complete process hazard analyses (PHA), management of change (MOC), and pre-startup safety reviews (PSSR) on his/her projects.Other duties as assigned by the employee's manager.10%-25% travel will be expected.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering, or closely related discipline.Minimum 5 years of experience in the chemical industryMust work well under pressure and be able to multi-task in a dynamic business environment with strict deadlines.Strong customer focus and experience in implementing capital projects.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel, Project, etc.
).Ability to read a P&ID and PFDs.Preferred Qualifications:Professional certification in a related subject matter (PE, PMP, etc.
