.About The RoleAbout this opportunityAs a part of the Procurement team assigned to the data centre construction project, you will support a full range of related services.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Services and OFCI equipment procurement & contracting strategy developmentStrategic SourcingDevelopment of pricing mechanismsOptioning and cost benefit analysisCost forecastingPreparing contract documents and drafting terms and conditionsCollating invitation to tender packagesDevelopment of selection and evaluation criteriaManaging tender clarifications / returns and down selection processNegotiation and award of contractsOversight of subcontracting arrangements and procurement planningBusiness case and stakeholder management supportContract oversightEnsure contract compliance and oversee assurance processDraft and issue project correspondence on behalf of the clientContract managementClaims preparation and assessmentChange control and variation managementSubcontracting strategy, oversight & approvalsPro-active commercial risk managementLead Project meetings as appropriateAs a Gleeds team member, you will have access to:Opportunities to develop and grow your careerEmployee Assistance ProgrammeFlexible working arrangementsAbout YouWho we're looking for:Experience, Knowledge and Key SkillsTechnical knowledge relating to Procurement, Cost, Supply Chain, and Commercial Management - ideally both pre- and post- contract.Experience in construction industry. Direct experience in data center construction is a plus.Previous experience of providing sourcing, procurement and contracts management support to large scale construction programs and projects.Should have knowledge of international construction industry standards and practices.Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.Excellent problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skillsSound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to work as part of a team.Fluency in English.
