At Winning Consulting, we are on the lookout for aProcurement Specialist to be part of our dynamic team. This role involves working on an exciting project for one of our key clients in the banking sector, based in Lisbon.
Key Responsibilities:Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet the quality, cost, and delivery standards required by the company.Sourcing and Negotiation: Source products and services, conduct negotiations, and secure favorable terms and pricing with vendors.Purchase Orders: Manage the procurement process from purchase order creation to delivery and payment, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisitions.Market Research: Conduct research on market trends, new products, and potential suppliers to keep the company competitive and cost-efficient.Inventory Management: Collaborate with the inventory and warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock levels, reducing shortages and overstock situations.Cost Control: Monitor spending and analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or service.Compliance and Reporting: Ensure procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and internal company standards. Provide regular reports on procurement performance and savings to senior management.Supplier Performance Evaluation: Continuously evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and service to ensure ongoing effectiveness and reliability.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments (e.g., finance, operations, logistics) to understand procurement needs and align strategies with business objectives.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends and supplier data.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
