Offer Description Applications are invited for a post-doc position (fixed-term contract of 24 months) in spintronics to conduct research in the area of spin-orbit torque (SOT) switching in advanced spintronic devices with perpendicular anisotropy. The aim will be to tailor lateral modulation of magnetic properties in SOT devices to realize magnetic field-free switching for SOT-MRAM applications. This position is a collaboration between C2N (Palaiseau) and SPINTEC (Grenoble).
Activities will include in particular the development of SOT-MRAM components, the electrical measurement of SOT switching, magnetic characterizations, and micromagnetic simulations.
The research work will be conducted in the INTEGNANO group within the "Nanoelectronics" department at the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (C2N). C2N benefits from very large facilities including one of the largest clean rooms in Europe and is part of University of Paris-Saclay, one of the top 20 universities in the world. The INTEGNANO group of C2N is internationally recognized for its research activities on magnetic nanodevices, from studies on fundamental phenomena of spin electronics to the design of innovative bio-inspired circuits. This project will be realized under the supervision of D. Ravelosona, in collaboration with the laboratory SPINTEC in Grenoble, the start-up company Spin-ion technologies hosted at C2N and several academic and industrial leading partners.
Potential candidates should demonstrate experience in a relevant area of nanomagnetism, spintronics, nanofabrication, advanced magnetic and electrical characterizations, materials science, and numerical modeling/simulation.
