Offer Description The candidate will work on the synthesis and shaping of rare-earth molecular crystals, development of low-temperature optical and spin spectroscopy experiments, and modeling of spectroscopic parameters (e.g., linewidths) of these new materials.
The candidate will participate in all research activities around this new theme, getting involved in the various tasks planned according to his/her skills and interests. The candidate will have the opportunity to spend time in other universities and to develop a network of collaborations.
The project will take place within the Crystals and Quantum State Dynamics team (cqsd.fr) at the Institut de Recherche de Chimie Paris and in the context of two national collaborative projects (MolEQuBe and MolQIF).
Ideally, the candidate will have experience in one or more of the following subjects:
Experimental and theoretical study of solid-state emitters.
Setting up low-temperature optical and/or spin spectroscopy experiments.
Synthesizing and shaping materials.
Working in a team.
Writing scientific papers.
Supervising students.
Additional comments: The initial contract is for 12 months, with the possibility of renewal for a further 12 months.
