Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our distributed cross-functional team. We are focusing on the development of high-performance backend systems providing solutions in the field of financial technology combining expertise in software development and mathematics. You will be leading various types of projects, from software development (products improvement, complex delivery projects) to internal process improvement.
We expect the Project Manager to: Play the lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing out projects,Be responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed within the agreed time, scope and budget,Plan and designate project resources,Prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way,Be accountable for the entire project scope, the project team and resources, the project budget, and the success or failure of the project,Manage various projects across many products and accounts,Gather requirements, deliverables, and timeframes from stakeholders,Agree on priorities with clients,Plan resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources effectively and efficiently,Plan the budget based on the scope of work and resource requirements,Track project costs in order to meet budget,Produce status reports for management,Communicate frequently with sponsors and stakeholders: plans, key milestones, etc.,Have a plan to mitigate issues that invariably arise,Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.QualificationsLearn constantly; never act like you know it all,Know your human resources like the backs of your hands: strengths and weaknesses,Get the most out of your teams by understanding them collectively and individually,Never blame the team for mishaps. As the driver, you take responsibility for knowing and resolving issues in real time,Must understand financials, burn rates, and margins related to your projects and/or portfolios. Managing these efficiently directly impacts how successful the project is.Must-have skills: 4+ years of experience managing projects in Software Development,Willingness to take responsibility and a result-oriented mindset,Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences,Knowledge of industry software engineering practices, agile methodologies, and SDLC,Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work successfully with teams and individuals across the organization and different locations,Highly proficient in spoken and written English (Advanced or higher),Knowledge of methodologies and principles of application lifecycle management, experience with bug tracking, version control, and requirements management systems.Nice-to-have skills: Bachelor's or Master's degree preferably in Computer Science or Engineering,Strong problem-solving, analytical and quantitative skills, self-directed with high attention to detail,Knowledge of capital markets, financial or brokerage businesses,Technical skills and software development experience,PMP or other relevant professional certifications.Additional InformationCare for the employees is one of dxFeed's core values.
