Payroll Specialist - Portugal

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Portuguese labor law, fluent English proficiency, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing payroll for employees and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, including calculating wages, deductions, and bonusesEnsure compliance with Portuguese labor law and other relevant regulationsHandle payroll queries and resolve any issues or discrepanciesPrepare and maintain payroll records and reportsCollaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll processesStay updated on changes to labor laws and regulations to ensure complianceProvide support during audits and assist with payroll-related inquiriesContinuously improve payroll processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred)Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar roleStrong understanding of Portuguese labor law and regulationsFluent in English (both verbal and written)Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office applicationsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
