Pastry Head Chef

The Sentido Galo Resort is located on Madeira Island and are part of DER Touristik Hotels & Resorts. The resort comprises 229 rooms in 3 neighbouring hotels. We are looking for a talented and creative Pastry Head Chef to join culinary team and manage pastry production for our F&B outlets. The ideal candidate will be passionate professional that will be playing an essential role in developing our F&B offer. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: · Create, prepare, and present a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes and baked goods · Create seasonal and regional innovative dessert menus in collaboration with the culinary team · Ensure high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation · Oversee daily operations in the pastry kitchen, ensuring all items are prepared in a timely manner. · Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section in accordance with health and safety regulations · Train and mentor the pastry team · Monitor stock and ingredients, place orders when necessary to avoid shortages · Proven experience as a Patry Chef or in a similar role · Be willing to learn, develop and improve own skills, whilst having the ability to progress and engage others · Expertise in pastry techniques, decoration and presentation · Strong knowledge of baking ingredients, pastry tools, and techniques · Strong attention to detail, creativity and passion for food Role: PASTRY HEAD CHEF Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Location: None, Apply for this job now.
