Offer Description A call for application is now open for the attribution of 1 (one) Research Fellowship, with reference Edital 157/2024/BI/AgendasPRR, for development of scientific and technological research activities, under the scheme «Agendas Mobilizadoras para a Inovação Empresarial», namely "Drivolution – Transition to the factory of the future" project, at the Aveiro Institute of Materials (CICECO) Research Unit, at the University of Aveiro, Portugal.

Funding Entity: Funded by the PRR - Recovery and Resilience Plan and by the NextGenerationEU.
Admission Requirements: Candidates must be students enrolled in a master/integrated master course in the Materials Engineering scientific field at the University of Aveiro. Preferential requirements include being in the final year of the master's degree and having a master's thesis theme aligned with the project. Written knowledge of the Portuguese language is mandatory.
Eligibility: Candidates must comply with provisions of paragraph a) nº1 from article 2 of the Statute of the Research Fellow, as amended by Decree-Law nº 123/2019.
Work Plan: The aim is to study the effect of the roughness of boron-doped diamond (BDD) electrodes on the evolution of green hydrogen from the electrolysis of municipal water. The work will include tasks such as coating of BDD films and characterization of the coatings.
Legislation and Regulations: The fellowship assignment will be done according to the Statute of the Scientific Research Fellow and relevant regulations.
Place of Work: The work will take place at the Department of Materials and Ceramic Engineering (DEMAC) of the University of Aveiro.
Duration of the Grant: The research fellowship will last for 12 months, starting on 1st January 2025, with potential for renewal.
Monthly Allowance: The monthly allowance is €990,98, subject to updates.
Selection Method: Selection includes Curricular Evaluation based on weighted averages and technical-scientific knowledge.
