Meeting & Event Technology Manager WHAT YOU WILL DO The Meeting & Event Technology Manager will be part of the Global Meetings Management (GMM) team and the Global Strategic Meetings Management Program at Amgen. You will be the architect of Amgen's event technology landscape and roadmap, driving efficiency and performance through automation, AI, and data-driven insights. You'll manage Amgen's Meeting Technologies, lead integrations, streamline processes, and work to optimize performance and customer satisfaction. This is a fast-paced role for a passionate tech leader who thrives on collaboration, innovation and has an interest in the meetings industry.
Accountabilities Role will own Amgen's Meeting Technology tools, manage Amgen Meetings Data Analytics and Spend Reporting and manage automation tools for GMM.
Objective: Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence for Amgen's Global Meeting Management (GMM) program through technology leadership, data-driven decision making, and process optimization.
Championing Technology Leadership: Manage Cvent, drive automation initiatives, and ensure seamless data exchange between connected systems.Empowering Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage analytics to enhance the GMM program, generate reports, and guide functional stakeholders (USBO, R&D, Finance, etc.) in budget allocation and meeting spend optimization.Streamlining Processes: Optimize meeting technology workflows, integrate them with other systems (including HCC data systems), and improve efficiency through automation and collaboration.Key Responsibilities: Technology Ownership: Manage Amgen's Meeting Technology platforms, including Cvent, leading system improvements and integrations.Process management and support of system architecture.Champion automation, AI, and efficiency initiatives for GMM.Manage Cvent team to ensure flawless system operation.Own and manage data collection, aggregation, and reporting.Own and manage the GMM External Identity Management process including custom domains.Own and manage GMM Event Technology vendor training program including system access management.Own and manage Data Angel & Meeting Validation quality control tools.Data & Analytics: Leverage predictive analytics to enhance the Meetings Program.Design and implement performance dashboards to track key metrics.Develop and monitor functional metrics for customer satisfaction, business performance, and operational efficiency.Present insightful reports and analyses to GMM leadership.Process Optimization: Spearhead process simplification and automation initiatives, leveraging tools like RPA & UiPath.Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.Collaborate with various functions to implement solutions and track progress.WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU Qualification: Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in technology, Data Analytics, Meeting & Event Management or related field.4+ years of experience in event technology management or similar role.Expertise in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard design.Understanding of IT systems, SaaS/PaaS (Software as a Service/Platform as a Service) solutions, system integrations (API's MuleSoft), automation tools and Learning Management systems (LMS).Expertise in system onboarding/implementation process and management of user onboarding and training programs.Understanding of Life Sciences, Biotech or Pharma industry.English – Business fluent.Preferred Requirements Strategic Meeting Management experience.Global, cross functional work experience.Cvent experience.Knowledge of Veeva and Salesforce.Knowledge of SharePoint.Knowledge of Project Management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum & Waterfall.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT OF US As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we work to care for our teammates' professional and personal growth and well-being.
