Candidates should be ready to work in an international crew. Qualifications: Basic understanding of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS) Skills and ability to recognise, understand and deal with potential security threats Fully qualified with a proven record of competence for the position An above-average level of fitness and skills in tactful, diplomatic crisis and problem solving Excellent English language skills, both written and oral Read, understand and comply with the Standing Orders of the Master, the Ship Security Plan (SSP), Security Standard Procedures and other Standard Procedures that impact security Main Responsibilities: Maintain security of the ship and the implementation of the SSP and Standard Procedures. Responsible for gangway security & access control. Responsible for security screening of passengers, crew, and visitors' belongings and personal effects to prevent dangerous and prohibited items being brought onto the vessel. Undertake security patrols of Restricted, Controlled, and Vulnerable areas. Undertake patrols of passenger areas. Investigate crimes, incidents, and safeguarding matters.
