.Do you want to shape the future of green energy? Vestas Technology & Operations > Research & Development (R&D) > LaC Onshore Product Application The Loads & Control (LaC) organization, being part of Product Application and Control, is responsible for designing and optimizing Vestas' products for optimal performance, loads, and control strategies to design product responses to market roadmap requirements. As a Loads and Control Engineer, you will take responsibility for growing and developing optimal Loads & Control solutions for product lifecycle application and utilize the full potential of onshore turbines to improve commercial edge as per market needs. You will be part of a global team distributed across Denmark, Portugal, and India. Responsibilities As a Loads and Control Engineer, you will be improving the technical aspects of Loads and Control development for a specific product from feasibility to full validation and certification, including, but not limited to: Life Cycle Optimization for legacy and ongoing products through learning from fleet experience Development and validation of wind turbine aeroelastic models Support test and integration of innovative technologies onto new products Calculate design loads, power performance, and noise levels for internal and external stakeholders Facilitate the certification process of wind turbines, including performing the design loads verification test campaign on prototype wind turbines In close cooperation with our internal stakeholders, balance the trade-offs between power production and loading Qualifications A Ph.D. or M.Sc. in structural, civil, wind, mechanical, control, or mechatronics engineering 0-2 years' experience within the wind industry Proven history in running wind turbine product development from a load and control perspective Good competencies within innovative simulation of mechanical systems Experience or knowledge of aeroelastic tools such as Flex5, Bladed, or HAWC2 Programming experience, for example, in Matlab Experience in handling projects following milestones and meeting deadlines; certification in project management is a plus Knowledge of control of mechanical systems Ability to improve processes and test status quo for how load calculations are conducted Ability to promote engineering solutions within the area from start to end Skilled at handling multiple stakeholders at various levels of the organization Pragmatic and quality-conscious Result-oriented with a good focus on the task A creative approach to new tasks Ability to work as part of a team as well as with independent tasks What We Offer We offer an opportunity to be part of a global team in an exciting business with a very comprehensive product range.
