The IT Team Leader's mission is to provide direction and set the organization for the team by providing guidelines and constructing processes, as well as guiding the team members to reach business goals. As the first line in charge of people development, the mission is to support the team throughout their path in the organization, in terms of performance, motivation, and professional growth. Additionally, the role involves monitoring IT resources and the operational management of such resources. Activities cover technical and application environments.
Your Main Activities Are
Manage the activity from a business and team management standpoint, providing estimations and planning for activities in development, reporting the necessary KPIs, and ensuring team alignment in the proper accomplishment of the team's results.
Be an active contributor in the development of new projects and stakeholder relationships, while also supporting transversal projects designed to foster overall efficiency objectives.
Support, develop, and empower team members, focusing on their individual skill sets, aspirations, and development needs, to prepare them for current roles and future challenges.
Manage all team members and organization-related topics: workload planning and distribution (including management of staff holidays, absences, back-up schemes), follow-up on recruitment processes, mobility, and newcomers; evaluate daily work and write annual appraisals; follow up on each group member's performance and motivation.
Monitor and analyze warnings of IT resources by processing technical/functional warnings or escalating them.
Incorporate instructions from ADM for non-operational incidents and track and notify malfunctions.
Process requests for specific actions (processing, extraction, specific work, among others).
Create control points as part of procedures and operating methods to ensure that work goes smoothly and draft ad hoc reporting.
Profile and Skills to Success
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
At least 5 years of experience in Information Technology (IT).
IT Knowledge.
Fluent in English.
Personal Impact/Ability to influence.
Ability to inspire others & generate people's commitment.
