Head Of Digital Acceleration

As Head of Digital Acceleration (at the Digital Center of Excellence), you will lead the orchestration of digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
Partnering with DGU Business Platforms' Leads and Digital Acceleration teams, as well as EDP businesses globally, you will (1) guide the Digital Chapter's development, fostering agile and collaborative working models, (2) shape and implement a global digital strategy aligned with business objectives, (3) oversee the selection and execution of new digital solutions via the Global Digital Factory, and (4) cultivate strategic relationships with technology partners to accelerate innovation.
This senior leadership role requires cross-functional collaboration, driving impactful transformation initiatives that align with business goals.

What you will do: Digital Strategy Leadership : Lead the development of EDP's global digital strategy in partnership with executive leadership, DGU Platforms, and international business units; Present strategic insights and high-impact digital transformation projects to C-level executives, influencing key decisions; Conduct market and technology benchmarking to identify forward-thinking, user-centric digital solutions and emerging trends.
Governance and Stakeholder Engagement : Build and nurture relationships with DGU Platforms and business leaders across geographies, ensuring alignment and adoption of digital strategies; Drive the governance of the Digital Chapter, collaborating with Digital Accelerators to implement standardized processes and best practices organization-wide; Foster partnerships with key technology providers (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Google), ensuring the application of cutting-edge practices to accelerate business innovation; Lead design thinking workshops to engage cross-functional teams in ideation, prioritization, and solution design for new digital opportunities.
Transformational Project Oversight : Lead high-impact, high-visibility digital transformation projects across the organization, collaborating with internal teams and external partners; Optimize the allocation of capital and resources for digital transformation initiatives, setting high standards for value case development and data-driven decision-making; Engage and influence senior stakeholders across DGU Platforms and EDP business units, facilitating the identification, scoping, and prioritization of digital opportunities; Oversee the prioritization and pipeline management for digital solutions developed through DGU's Global Digital Factory.
Employment type: Full-Time Work site: Hybrid Model Work Place: Lisbon or Oporto   What are we looking for: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (MBA is a plus); 8+ years of experience in digital strategy, transformation, or management consulting, in a top-tier consulting firm, with a focus on leading large-scale initiatives in a senior capacity; Extensive experience leading digital transformation projects within complex, global organizations; Proven leadership skills in stakeholder management, with the ability to influence executive teams and drive organization-wide change; Strong understanding of digital technologies, including data, AI, and their applications in the business landscape; Prior experience in the energy sector or related industries is a plus; Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; Strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset, adept at solving complex problems and driving data-driven decision-making; Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level; Proven track record in managing large-scale digital transformation projects from ideation to execution; Commitment to fostering innovation and driving continuous improvement across the organization.
