WHAT IS THE CHALLENGE?
The Accounting and Financial Information Department (DCI) performs its duties in the areas of Accounting, Taxes, Treasury, Collections, Consolidation and Reporting and is transversal to the companies of the Fidelidade Group. You will have the opportunity to collaborate in the Office's activities, namely:
Participation in the IFRS 17 implementation project, defining requirements, accounting rules, preparing and carrying out acceptance tests, preparing reporting and monitoring the go-live;
Perform the necessary accounting bookings for insurance and reinsurance business;
Verify the consistency between the Accounting Data stored in the Business's Operational Systems and the one transferred to the Accounting Systems;
Create and monitor control point to ensure that procedures are updated and carried out without errors;
Preparation and analysis of management indicators relating to the business of insurance and reinsurance;
Prepare Financial and Statistical Reports for Headquarter, for ASF, for Bank of Portugal and for Other Accounting Department's Stakeholder;
Prepare and deliver the necessary information/data to Internal and External Auditors;
Analyze and disclose the legal and regulatory rules of accounting incidence, promoting its application.
IF YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO HAS...
Degree qualification in Economic/Administrative/Accounting area or equivalent;
Big 4 trained accountant with a recognized professional qualification;
Advance knowledge of finance, accounting, and cost control principles (including IFRS /Generally Accepted Accounting Principles);
Advanced knowledge life and non-life insurance business and accounting and reporting;
Investment, actuarial and statistics background would be welcome;
Advanced knowledge in Word, Excel, Power Point and office tools;
VBA or PowerQuery knowledge is a plus;
Knowledge of SAP Finance system would be welcome;
Proficiency in English;
Independent, systematic and quality oriented way of working, even under pressure;
Good communication skills, able to build relationships with other Finance teams and headquarters;
Ability to take ownership of accounting challenges and apply logical thinking to overcoming them;
Endurance and flexibility, when facing accounting problems;
Continuous improvement mindset and curiosity;
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail to produce high quality output;
Ability to prioritize work according to the business need and organize the workload to meet deadlines.
