Job Description:
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our Lisbon headquarters' Human Resources department. In this strategic and dynamic role, the successful candidate will support and coordinate the implementation and development of HR processes, policies, and procedures. Additionally, they will offer guidance and advice on human resources matters to our headquarters and concessions.
This role will include the following core activities and responsibilities:

Serve as the on-site and main Human Resources contact for all employees located in Portugal, multilocation offices, and other locations (if applicable) for providing generalist Human Resources support.
Partner with concession leadership to carry out Human Resources initiatives, attend daily needs, ensuring consistency and compliance throughout.
Work very closely with Human Resources in Austin HQ and Madrid HQ, ensuring consistency across in our practices and a similar employee experience across our geographies through initiatives implementation and special projects.
Partner with legal on employment matters, collective bargaining agreements, and union negotiations.
Oversee payroll verification, compliance and approval for employees based in Portugal (multi-cities).
Oversee the labor contracting, hiring, and onboarding.
Manage, coordinate, and administer recruitment and personnel selection as appropriate.
Identification, design, and implementation of the Learning & Development initiatives in concession and headquarters, with the aim of improving the professional skills of the workforce and encouraging professional development
Proactively identify potential employee initiatives by participating in functional management and employee meetings on a regular basis.
Provide guidance and counseling to managers and employees on employee relations, employee performance and performance management.
Providing advice and assistance to management and staff on Human Resources policies, procedures, legislation, and best practices.
Lead HR process completion at Lisbon HQ & concessions regarding Talent Reviews, Annual Increases and Objective Setting processes.
Manage the flexible benefits plan in Portugal.
Update and maintain quarterly budget for the department and personnel cost.
Coordinate internal Human Resources communication.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Other Requirements:

5+ years of relevant experience as a Human Resources generalist, covering recruitment and onboarding, compliance and policy management, payroll administration and benefits programs, workforce planning, training and development, employee engagement, and HR metrics and reporting. Fluent Portuguese is required for this role. Fluency in English and Spanish would be preferred.
Experience with labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, and union regulations.
Preferred experience in a multinational company, and/or generalist responsibilities across Human Resource functions.
Strong understanding of local employment regulations, laws, and practices in Portugal.
Strong time management and prioritization capabilities, with ability to self-manage deadlines and deliverables
Ability to travel frequently, project visits up to 25% within Portugal and other geographies (if applicable).
Comfortable working and collaborating with a team at a distance (Austin & Madrid HQ's).
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, influencing & decision facilitation skills. Proven experience and comfortable with Microsoft systems particularly in Excel, Word and Power Point.
Experienced working with Workday is a plus.
Geographical relocation flexibility long term is a plus.
